Setting Up Workboards

    Setting Up Workboards

    Article summary

Workboards provide an easy way to visualize what Work Orders are at each Process Node at any given time.

Workboards can be created by adding stations, node types, or directly adding process nodes.

    Adding Workboard Cards

    1. Click the "New Workboard Card" button.
    2. To add Stations to the workboard, select them from the "Stations" drop down list.
    3. To add Node Types to the workboard, select them from the "Node Types" drop down list.
    4. To add process nodes, select the process that includes the nodes from the drop-down list. Then, select the nodes you want to include from the process tree.
    5. If needed, choose the location for the card.
    6. Confirm the number of cards to be created. Then, click the "Create [x] Cards" button.
    7. The cards will now appear on the workboard.

    Workboard Part Grouping

In order to create a part group and add labels onto it, there are a few steps accomplish. For an example, if two parts (of different part numbers) in a work order are hot and we don't want to add a label to the entire work order. The first thing to do is put that part into a group as follows:

    • We can add a group to the list, then put the two parts in there and add a label directly.
      • Now this way, everywhere that that part group will be seen (including on the workboard) it'll have that specific label as it gets moved.
      • This won't affect its ability to be racked, won't affect about the way it is treated, but it will be more easily visible on invoicing and in other places.
    • If you go back to the received order, you'll notice we can put labels on the part group directly here as well.
      • However, if there's no group created here you'll not be able to edit that option or add a label to the PN.
