Carousels

Carousels in Steelhead is a feature that allows for continuous automated cycling through views of Dashboards, Reports, and the Maintenance Dashboard on shared screens or monitoring stations.

Carousel Permissions

To use Carousels, permissions must first be enabled. In User Pages, turn on Write: Carousels permission for Carousel creators, and Read: Carousels permission for those who might log into devices which display Carousels.

The Carousels feature is accessible from the Administration Section of the Homepage:

Setting Up Carousels

Carousels are closely related to Dashboards. Follow the instructions in the articles "Create a New Dashboard Card" and "Dashboards", and the same information can be displayed in Carousels:

In the Carousels Dashboard, click +NEW CAROUSEL.

• Give it a distinctive Name.
• Set the Refresh Interval and Carousel Intervals in seconds ("Refresh" will call the current data; "Carousel" will progress the rotation through the pages of the Carousel).
• Select the Dashboards to include in the Carousel.
• Select Reporting Dashboards to include in the Carousel.
• Toggle the switch "on" if you'd like to "Include Maintenance Page" in the Carousel.
• Click SAVE.

Navigate the Carousels

Click on the Carousel Name to open it.

• Click the back arrow in the bottom left corner to return to the Carousels Dashboard.
• Click the back arrow in the bottom center to go to the previous Carousel page.
• Click the pause/play button in the bottom center to stop or resume the Carousel.
• Click the forward arrow in the bottom center to proceed early to the next page of the Carousel.
