There are two Quote types: 'TOTAL PRICE' and 'UNIT PRICE'.
A 'UNIT PRICE' Quote is designed for parts that will be run many times, at a flat rate for every time that part goes through the shop.
'TOTAL PRICE' Quotes are the standard. Total price quotes allow selection of an amount and a quantity of parts on the job.
If you are unable to adjust part quantities on a Quote, you may need to change the Quote type. This can be edited after adding Parts and Treatments.
Unit Price Info:
If a part is quoted, then processed and invoiced, the quoted price will become the unit price on the Part Number profile
- So if you create Sales Orders for this part without re-quoting them, the unit price will show up on new orders.
- The quoted price will not update the Part Number until it is invoiced.
- If you make a new Quote for this Part, the unit price on the Part will not update with the new quoted price until the Part is reprocessed/invoiced.
Quote prices and Part unit prices are considered to be separate.
- New Quotes will not pull in the previously quoted price for that Part Number.
