    Adding More Parts to a Work Order

    You can add more parts to a Work Order from the work order page.
    1. Choose the work order that you want to adjust.
    2. Click the "Add New Parts" button.
    3. Choose the quantity that you want to add.
    4. Type in the Part Number you want to add.
    5. Choose the Node that you want the new parts to be added to.
    6. Fill out any other fields that apply.
    7. Click "SAVE!"
    8. You should now see the new parts added to your work order.
    9. Make sure the parts you added to the work order are also on the Sales Order.

    Assigning Treatments

    When you add Parts directly to a Work Order, you can't change the Part Treatments to something that's not on that Work Order. Treatment changes have to be made on the Work Order itself, or be assigned to a new (separate) Work Order.

    Notice:

    If you have a Work Order that was created with receiving and you go to "move parts" to edit the quantity, make sure you are using the +/- button to change the quantity.

    • This is because there it will allow you to add it to that amount.
    • Otherwise Steelhead may think you are trying to add another line item.

    Add Parts from a Work Order to a Sales Order

    To put Work Order parts onto a Sales Order, follow these steps:

    • If the parts have an associated quote:
      1. Select "Add Quoted Lines".
      2. Enter the quote number that the parts belong to.
      3. Select the desired parts from the quote line items.

    • If there is no associated quote:
      1. Toggle to the Work Order view on the Sales Order Parts table.
      2. Click the edit button on the newly added Part Number (there will be a warning icon on the row).
      3. In the "Contract Part Line:" field, type "new" and click "Create "new".
      4. From there, enter in all associated information.
      5. Make sure to enter the count and create a new line item.

    To prevent accidental closing of sales order line items, quantities on sales order line items can only be changed if the line items themselves are NOT being closed.

    Steps to find best results with this:

    1. Change parts associated.
    2. Check box for "close SO Line" should be deselected.
    Closing Sales Order:
    • This sales order page also has a button for manually closing a whole sales order.
    • Closing the last line item on a sales order should close the whole contract unless it has extra parts that are unpriced.

    Removing Parts from a Work Order

    You can remove parts from your work order by performing an "Exit" transfer.
    1. On the WO, click "MOVE PARTS" for the parts you want to remove.
    2. Choose how many parts you want to remove.
    3. In the "Transfer Type:" drop down list, choose "EXIT".
    4. Click "SAVE!"
    5. The parts should now be removed from your work order.
    6. Make sure to update the associated Sales Order.

    Adding Sales Order Parts to a Work Order

    To assign sales order parts onto a work order, simply press "Assign All" and fill out the information in the "Assign Parts" menu. The "Add Parts to Sales Order" menu will already be filled in because the sales order is already made.
